INTERVIEW Bisma Qazi ranked at 115 in Civil Services. In an exclusive interview with Mansoor Parey,  Bisma talks about her struggles, success, achievement and much more. Excerpts: Q: First let’s walk through your educational background and the place you were Born? A: I am from Srinagar, born and brought up here only, had schooling from Mallinson Girls Higher Secondary School. Later I qualified JK common entrance test and got admitted in B.tech electronics and communication. Q: What was the reason for shifting from Engineering to Administration? A: I passed my graduation in 2014, the same year the deadly floods hit Kashmir. I worked in flood relief distribution and I could feel the pain of people around. This drove my path towards administration. I was college topper in engineering and gold medalist and could easily get job that too a lucrative one. But that flood disaster motivated me to work for my people and redress their grievances in whatever capacities I could. Q

Lailat-ul-Qadr - The night of Power

In this night (27th of Ramadan), the Holy Quran was sent down from LOH-E-MEHFOOZ (the Preserved Tablet) to the earth. Messenger of ALLAH (Blessings of Allah and peace be on him) told us to search for Shab-e-Qadr in the odd numbered nights, in the last ten days of Ramzan. So, the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th or 29th night of Ramadan could be Shab-e-Qadr. Hazrat Aisha Radiallah Anha stated that Rasool Allah peace be upon him said, "Look for Lailat-Ul-Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadhan." Laylat al-Qadr  ( Arabic :  لیلة القدر ‎‎) (also known as  Shab-e-Qadr  , loaned from  Persian ), variously rendered in English as the  Night of Decree ,  Night of Power , [2]   Night of Value ,  Night of Destiny , [3]  or  Night of Measures , is in  Islamic  belief the night when the first verses of the  Quran  were revealed to the  Islamic prophet   Muhammad . [4]  It is one of the nights of the last ten days of  Ramadan .  Muslims  believe that on this night the blessings and mercy of  Allah  are abundant, sins are forgiven,  supplications  are accepted, and that the  annual decree  is revealed to the  angels  who also descend to earth. Laylat al-Qadr Reading Qur'an  is one of the key observances of the Qadr night.
